11-7-15 v. Shippensburg University

The Gettysburg sojourn to the historic Hersheypark Arena was met with stiff competition from Shippensburg University.  The scoring was all SU for two periods until division leading scorer John Baum got the Bullets on the board at the 15 minute mark of the third period, followed five minutes later with a tally from captain Joe Chiarino.  This was all the Bullets could manage offensively, as Shippensburg added three of their own in the third period for a final score of 7-2 Shippensburg.

11-8-15 v. Franklin & Marshall College

Sunday night saw the Blue and Orange return to home ice against non-league opponent Franklin & Marshall.  Both teams had depleted rosters and a total of eighteen goals were scored in the contest.  Just thirteen seconds into the game, Gettysburg’s John Baum took a pass from Chris Williams to open the scoring.  Eight minutes later Baum would score again with an assist from senior Mike Booz.  F&M tied the score with just nine seconds left in the first period at 2-2.  The second period turned out to be very crazy as the next eight goals were reeled off by F&M.  Late in the period scoring leader John Baum added two unassisted goals and then would add two more in the third period to score all six Gettysburg goals.  Assists went to Joe Chiarino and Madison Hill.  The game saw the first action of the year from sophomore goalie Maddy Hamblen, with excellent saves from both herself and starting goalie Tom Pelchat.  Final Score 13-6 F&M.
